Mera Peak Climbing With an elevation of 6476m Mera Peak is best known for the highest trekking peak of Nepal. Mera peak has 3 distinct faces called as Mera north(6,476m), Mera central(6,461) and Mera south(6,065m). Mera peak adventure stimulates through picturesque villages, uninhabited valleys-Hongu & Hinku followed by straightforward walkup climb to the summit of Mera(6476m). This exceptional trekking adventure to Mera peak is designed for novice trekkers who want to achieve Nepal's most alluring peak.

However, Mera peak can be taken as an expedition style for experienced trekkers. Since the peak is straightforward, only basic level of training is required to achieve it. The basic training includes glacier travel, use of crampons, and rope fixing. Walking in high altitude and maintaining physical fitness can be crucial while climbing peaks of Nepal.

You will be provided with Himalayan sherpa heroes for this trip to make sure you are safe and ascend Mera peak.

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)

Arrival in Kathmandu and meet with SGN representative at the airport and transfer to Hotel. Welcome drink and short briefing about Trekking and Peak Climbing

Day 2 : Sightseeing Around Kathmandu. Pre-Trip Meeting

On this day you will explore the delightful capital city Kathmandu. Take a visit to UNESCO world heritage site sites- Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square & more.

Day 3 : Fly To Lukla (2,800m) & Trek To Chhuthang (3020m) [5-6 hrs]

Today you will take an early morning flight to Lukla. Lukla is the main gateway to Everest region. After taking breakfast, we start our trek heading east towards Chhuthang

Day 4 : Trek to Tuli Kharka (4100m) via Zatrawala Pass (4600m) [5-6 hrs]

From the top of Zatrawala Pass, we can enjoy the spectacular views of Numbur Himal, Kongdi Ri, Karyolang Peak and many other fascinating peaks. From Zatrwa La pass we walk downhill all the way to Tuli Kharka for our overnight stay.

Day 5 : Trek To Khote (3,600m) [5-6 hrs]

From Tuli Kharka our trail is a mixture of both uphill and downhill trekking. A steep descent to the Hinku River and a uphill climb will lead us to Kothe. Overnight in Khote

Day 6 : Trek to Thangnak (4326m) [4-5 hrs]

Our trail from Kothe goes along the ridge of Hinku river towards Gondishung. Further trekking we will pass Lungsamba Gompa which was built approximately 200 years ago. We will explore around for some time and again continue our walk and finally come to stop at Thangnak.

Day 7 : Trek To Khare (4,900m) [2-3 hrs]

Today you will head for Khare. En route you will pass through Kharka village & then you will step in the land of lakes & glaciers. We will spend an extra day rest at Khare for acclimatization and exploration. Overnight stay in Khare.

Day 8 : Acclimatization and pre–climb training

Acclimatization is very essential in higher altitudes to avoid mental and physical sickness. We will have basic mountaineering training such as using of ropes, ice axes, crampons, harness and other equipment.

Day 9 : Trek To Mera La (5,415m) & Base Camp (5,300m

Now you will trek for Mera la. During the trial, you get to see the glaciated mountain Mera. Mera la offers one of the world's most spectacular views of mountains & valleys. Our Sherpa crew will quickly set up the tented camp for today stay at Base Camp.

Day 10 : Climb to High Camp (5,800m)

Today you will climb the base camp- so prepare yourself to walk through the glacier. Recheck everything your tools like crampons, helmets & all just to stay safe. As soon as you ascend Mera high camp you can now witness some of the world's popular mountains- Everest, Makalu, Nuptse & Lhotse.

Day 11 : Summit To Mera Peak (6,654m) & Then Return To Khare (4,900m)

Today is a tough call as you get to summit Mera peak. It took 6 hours to achieve the Mera peak. A slow & steady walk would help a lot while ascending. Mera has 3 summits- the short steep snow slope is easily climbed, but the last one requires the extra effort. Mountain views for here are spectacular including Mt.Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Choyu, Amadablam and many more. After enjoying the views, you will take a rest for an hour & head back to Khare.

Day 12 : Reserve day in case of bad weather

It might happen that we may not reach summit as we planned due to bad weather. if everything goes smoothly, we can use this day to continue our trek.

Day 13 : Trek to Kothe (3600m) [4-5 hrs]

Today you will move towards green pasture & retrace your steps back to Khote.

Day 14 : Trek from Kothe to Tuli Kharka

Today we will walk back from Kote to Tuli Kharka following the same trail that we took before. From Tuli Kharka we can enjoy the magnificent views of Mera North, Mera Central and South face of Mera Peak.

Day 15 : Trek To Lukla (2,804m)

Today is the last day of our trekking. We trek from Tuli Kharka to Lukla along the same trail used previously passing Zatrwa-La pass (4,600). In evening,we will celebrate together with our crew for successful Mera Peak Climbing.

Day 16 : Fly To Kathmandu [35 min Flight]

We will take an early morning scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu. You can either have rest at Hotel or do some souvenir shopping in the street of Thamel.

Day 17 : Leisure Day In Kathmandu. Farewell Dinner

Today You will have free time to relax, freshen up and rest. Before you leave, You will have a farewell dinner to celebrate your trip success. Overnight At Hotel

Day 18 : Final Departure

We will escort you to the airport, Have a safe journey back home.
