All about Everest High Passes Trek
Everest High passes trek is recommended for trekkers who are physically fit and have some decent set of skills climbing the high passes with good survival instinct in high altitude. This trek is one of the most popular among the trekkers definitely not for the first time adventurers as it requires lot of physical or mental effort but nevertheless with such effort and dedication it’s a treat for trekkers to experience the unreal looking mountain that will leave you breathless. Imagine you are at the altitude of 5,535m and mountains tower head of you that’s beyond your imagination. This trek is kind of longer route as it follows through 3 high passes kongma la(5,535m), cho la(5,420m), and renjo la(5,417m) followed by high peaks gokyo peak and kaala patthar

On this day you will explore the delightful capital city Kathmandu. Take a visit to UNESCO world heritage site sites- Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square & more. Your trip starts form next morning & we will brief your entire plan.
Today you will take an early morning flight to Lukla. Bless your eyes with appealing scenery during the Half an hour flight. Lukla is the main gateway to Everest region. From here you will begin your Everest view trek. Just to warm up we trek downhill to Pakhding village it takes 3-hour to reach Pakhding village & we will rest at Pakhding village.
It takes 6 hours to get to Namche Bazaar. After reaching Namche you will now explore the Sagarmatha National park & enjoy the crowded Namche-a hub for tourist in Himalaya. Stroll around the local Namche for last minute shopping.
On this day you will visit the Museum & enjoy several surrounding peaks. In the meantime, you will get along with the locals & their unique culture. On the rest of the day, you will explore Namche bazar where you can get internet, food & lay down to relax. Overnight at Namche.
On this day we trek for Thame Village. after 3 hours of hiking through rhododendron forests, we finally reach Thame. The Thame monastery is one of the oldest in the region & it is the home to legendary Sherpa mountaineers including Apa Sherpa(Everest Summiter 21 Times). Thame is also a childhood home of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa-first men to climb Everest along with Sir Edmund Hillary.
Now we will head for Lumde. The trail leads uphill through the dry valley of Lumde. Its an interesting walk with beautiful views of snow peaked mountains. Lumde is the last village so hiking a bit will take you to the lodge where you stay overnight.
Now we head uphill for Gokyo (4800m/ 15748ft) via Ranjo la pass. Its a tough climb to get as high as Renjo la. But once you get to Ranjo la it offers promising views of Mt Everest, Mt Nuptse & stunning surrounding peaks. You probably like to snap pictures here since the visuals are just eye-popping. later you will explore gokyo kale & hop into a local lodge to rest for while. Later you will explore the famous glacier. overnight at Gokyo lodge.
This day is a tough ride as you need to walk through the Nogozumpa glacier-a longest glacier of Nepal. its rocky and icy which could be hard & guide is always handy in such situations. Once you reach Thanknak, you need to climb a small hill to acclimatize. Overnight at lodge.
Today trek involves steep climbing so better stay prepared. Watch your steps along the way & follow the guide till trail drops down to bottom of chola pass. Continuing the journey there's icy part once again once you overcome it then it's an easy walk to get to Zungla. Stay overnight at the lodge.
After having proper breakfast at the lodge, we will head for down for Lobuche. The trail towards Gorekshep through the rocky trail. Gorakshep is a small settlement on the top of the frozen lake bed. Along the way you will have stunning views of the Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumori and more. Following the trail, you will see Khumbu Glacier & after few up and downs, you will reach Gokekshep lying at the bottom of Kala Patthar. Stay overnight at the lodge.
This is the day where you will fulfil your dream of visiting Everest base camp. after 3-hour walk through the ridge of Khumbu glacier, there's your basecamp. Put your country flag at base camp & stay proud on achieving it. Explore around base camp for while, & trek down to Gorakshep lodge to sit down & relax.
A 2-hour hike will take you to Kalapatthar, a world's best viewpoint of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Thamerserku, Mera Peak and many more. Click as many photos as you want here and later trek down to lodge at Gorakhep for breakfast. now you will walk down to lobuche Stay overnight at the lodge.
On this day, you will walk towards eas through khumbu glacier. On crossing glacier & river, the trail leads to the highest pass. Take some water bottles with you since there are no tea houses here. after a hard climb, we descend down to Chukung valley Stay overnight at the lodge
After breakfast we start our return trek following an easier descent passing through rhododendron forest to Tyangboche for our overnight stay. Tengboche is home of largest monastery in Everest region.
On this day we descend down through rhododendron forest. on crossing bridge & steep climbing through pine forest, you are in Khumjung. Take your time to explore Khumjung village & later continue your walk to Namche bazaaar. Overnight Namche.
Now will retrace our steps back to Lukla where you started the journey. Your Everest 3 pass trips end here & with all comfort, you will fly back to Kathmandu.
After Half an hour peace you will be back in Kathmandu & probably you will prepare for your departure. In the evening please join our Farewell Dinner for celebrating the completion of the trek.
